How TO Be Saved:
Born Again

We Are Sinners:
       Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:20-23
"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all."
"For no human being will be justified in his sight by works of the law, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.  But now righteousness of God has been manifested apart from law, although the law and the prophets bear witness to it, the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe.  For there is no distinction; since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

We Cannot Save Ourselves:
   John 14:5-6; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:3-7
"Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going; How can we know the way?" "Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God--not because of works, lest any man should boast.
For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hatred by men and hating one another; but when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of deeds done by us in righteoussness, but in virtue of his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal in the Holy Spirt, which he poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that we might be justified by his grace and become heirs in hope of eternal life.

God Loves Us: Jesus Died to Give Us Eternal Life:
John 3:16-17; Romans 6:23; Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 3:18
For GOd so loved the words that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.  For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.  What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound?  By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?
But God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Chrsit died for us.  Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come.  Fpr Christ also died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit;

God's Gift of Salvation and Eternal Life:
   Matthew 11:28-30; John 1:12-13; John 5:24; John 17:3; Acts 2:38; Acts 4:12; Romans 6:15-23; 10:13; 2 Corinthians 5:17; 1 John 3:1; 5:11-13; Revelation 3:20

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." But to all wh o received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God; who were born not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears my word and believes him who sent me, has eternal life; he does not come into judgement, but has passed from death to life.  And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.
And Peter said to them, "Repent, and be baptized every onen of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace?  By no means!  Do you not know that if you yield yourselves to any one as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?
But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.
I am s peaking in human  terms, because of your natural limitations.  For just as you once yielded your members to impurity and to greater and greater iniquity, so now yield your members to righteousness for sanctification.
When you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.  But then what return did you get from the things of which you are now ashamed?  The end of those things is death.  But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the retuen you get is sanctification and its end, eternal life.  For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come.  See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.  The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.  See what love the Father has given us, that we be called children of God; and so we are.  The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  He who has the Son has life; he who has not the Son of God has not life.  I writte this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and he with me."
